Man oh man time flies!
The sun is setting earlier and the nights are cooler...My thoughts are turning to simmered stews and food preservation! Dan is back at work and the next vacation weeks will be at the end of September-Maine here we come!I have the squirrel syndrome. What is the squirrel syndrome you might ask? Well this is how it goes: Everytime I sense that a job might end, I do just as a squirrel would do...gather food for the winter! In this case it's not just food..it's personnal care items,vitamins etc....I gotta use that employee discount as much as I can! LOL
Saturday we went to a thrift across the river and I found mighty cool stuff!
I never really see complete boxes of Xmas ornements so I was thrilled with those!
The lady at the cash said to me: My oh my you're thinking ahead!

Thirfting tip: Always buy something you like right away otherwise you might regret it!
This lovely pale aqua tray in great condition, some leftover vintage Xmas gift tags and this super cute little Pyrex casserole. It's missing its lid :( but it's a Frienship one!

Speaking of thrifting regrets....I'd left this cute FireKing mug at the flea in spring, so I was real happy it was still there!
I just love this one! It's a travel pouch full of little things you might need on a trip. From the 60's it's still filled with the original goodies...except the Alka-Seltzer and the currency converter.

About thrifting regrets...In May I spotted a train case like that but lavender at a flea in Maine and I didn't buy it. WELL, I'M STILL THINKING ABOUT IT!
