Love at First Sight!

Yesterday I remembered that this weekend is one of our yard sale weekends....

But I didn't really feel like thrifting....keep on reading folks....I didn't have a stroke everything is fine!!!

It's just I'm tired of seeing greasy Tupperwaes, jig saw puzzles and kids clothes.

We drove pas a few, but I didn't stop. We had a lot of shopping to do: drugstore, hardware store, bank....

But I did stop at a church run thrift shop. This thift shop is strange because the volunteers decide what they will be keeping to sell and throw away perfectly good vintage things that they don't like!

Once in a while I get Pyrex there but not this time. I almost walked by it. Then I did a double take and just grabbed it.

You know that patio furniture we got a while back? Well we're looking for a cover

for the loveseat....Nobody sells one!

Not Wallmart, Home Depot, Reno Depot , Patrick Morin (a Quebec based hardware chain), Rona,

Canadian Tire....NOBODY SELLS THEM!!!

And when we ask for it, we get looks....like you is crazy people looks!

 

But thank God for the internet! I found one reasonnably priced that will be coming my way from Texas....

WTF? Tuesday!

How time flies! Between work, chores and life I don't always have time to blog as much as I want to!

Anyways I'm back for a bit of WTF? Tuesday!. As I said before all is a matter of taste but somethings just rub me the wrong way!

Words can't describe how I felt when I saw this.....I actually blocked it out of my mind!

I'm sorry for the quality of the pictures....It's hard to dodge evil-eyed do-gooder employees....

What is this really? It's a big shaker. About 5 inches high.

Full of holes in the top...shaker holes for scary stuff...maybe salt...that's a lot of holes for salt! This is not a low sodium shaker.

Ok the scary part is that this thing has no face!

I spotted this at the Renaissance shop in Verdun.

I was about to write that I'm joining Sir Thrift-a-lot Blog for more WTF? Tuesday action, but I'm not sure he's into it this week.

WTF? Tuesdays!

Well folks this day has been crrrrrraaaaappppppy at best. But I always feel better coming home and hanging out with my loved ones and of course visiting my fave blogs.


So since it’s Tuesday it’s WTF? Tuesdays over at Sir Thrift-A-Lot! I always enjoy seeing ugly/scary/crappy/tacky things ,it goes perfectly with my sideshow side.

So here’s my offering this week. I hate clowns, I never found them funny and some are sad while other give me the hibbyjibbies, think It by Stephen King.

I can’t believe that someone actually designed this for a child’s bedroom. Thank god that my parents didn’t buy that for my room! I’d have been even longer in therapy!

What was she thinking?

Today I wanted to blog about tomorrow's national election...But I needed to share something else, something witnessed by millions.....and oh so terrifying!

THE HAT! retching sounds.

What went through her head? Did she think I want the whole world to see me with a beige body part on my head? Did she want to piss her daddy off (I think that one worked because I saw his face friday morning)

Are you grabbing your head and screaming bloody murder? Well I was when I saw this is VV!

Okay that is actually a lazy susan in the corner and a shelf on top....I'm so glad I took a pic! And that print! Well at least if you spill something nobody can EVER see it!

On unrelated maters...I believe my days at the postal counter are numbered. Don't feel bad...I was beginning to fall out of love with that job anyways...I can see it in my supervisor's eyes....she's not loving Miss V. And that is fine. You win some you loose some...
