Delphite and Delphiniums Good morning! Here the heat and humidity are so high I have problems breathing at 7 am! Yes I crankep up the AC! I'd like to welcome my new followers...Pam from House of Hawthornes and Julie (do you have a blog Julie? if so let me know, I'd love to read it!). I also wanted to invite all of you to visit our new blog the Pyrex Collective right HERE !. This is the brain love child of my friend Erin over @ Toronto Yard Sale Snoop. She invited some well known Pyrex nuts to contribute and Jeni from In Color Order designed it. It's a place to share our pics and our finds and basically all things Pyrex! So drop by for a gander! Besides that...well nothing much! I need to vaccum and dust and grocery shop before going to the postal counter of unjoy. I'd rather be thrifting and blogging than go there, but you know what they say...A girl's gotta do, what a girl's gotta do. Everything in due time! Turquoise Love If ever you're blue ,think of someone or something you love, a special place and go there in your mind for a while. Go back as much as needed. It will ground you and you will feel so much better! This is an emotionnal time for me. I hate the postal counter, I'm reading Women,Food and God and everytime I read some more...I have doors and drawers opening up in me and old crap is coming out and I have to deal with it! EEEWWW! Of course I had an idea it would happen but it's a lot to take in. My mom, the hurt, the pain, the food, evil postmistress, the emptiness....AAAARRGGGHHH! These are adult growing pains. Of course I'd rather not feel anything, it's so much easier! LOL But as Dan says: This too shall pass (great wisdom) So in my times of doubt and pain and postal assholes I go the the beach with Dan and the kitties and find great turquoise Pyrex! Have a great day everyone! GIVEAWAY REMINDER If you want to be included in my giveaway you must comment HERE and tell me you want to be included in the draw and be a follower and if you have a blog give my giveaway a shout out (I'm aiming 100 followers by the draw date) |

I know what you mean, about that book and all the stuff if drags up. I mean, well - yeah I know. What can I say really? Its a tough book. Shes written others but that one was just different I guess
Wow, you're having a birthday and giving someone else a gift. There's a special place in heaven for you.
Is that a Delphinium in the top photo with your blue "Delphinium" glass? If not it should be, it matches wonderfully.
The Pyrex Collective is off to a great start. You guys are fab!
Not all Postal workers are bad. We have one who spoils all of the children. Big John is awesome! I'll pray that you get a new wonderful Postal person. Wait, that didn't sound right...
Sorry about the tough stuff coming up emotionally for you. That sounds like an interesting book. Hey, the Pyrex Collective is looking great! Love your turquoise pieces here. I wish I'd have waited to buy an identical barbed wire divided dish you're so generously giving away. I love that pattern. On Thursday, I'm having a giveaway that includes Pyrex. Stop on by!
I always love your photos of Pyrex and I am so excited to be a part of the collective. I will be looking and photographing Pyrex on the longest yard sale and hopefully buying some! Hang in there with all the 'stuff'...life is like that and leads us places we never dreamed we would go!
I'm reading that book too. *While reading* chapter 6, I was eating a French Pastry!! I figured...Well, I'm not DONE with the book yet. Then my SIL gives us half of my nephew's Baptism cake to take home last week. It was from one of the best bakeries in town and Italian Cream, to boot! I enjoyed every freakin' bite I took because Geneen Roth said I should ENJOY my food. CLEARLY, I need to hurry up and finish the book! I wonder how many other copies of that book have pastry crumbs between the pages! :)
Hey, I just learned that those nifty glasses you are giving away were made by Barlett-Collins, when I was looking for something else. The blue I found was made in 1949, I wonder if the green was also!
I love the first picture. Such a soothing color.
I really need to pick up the book. I've been on a 'book break' and I think this one should be next.
P.S. Dan speaks wise words.
That sure is some beautiful pyrex!
