Returning to work after 2 weeks of bliss was a major pain!
First day I had 100 emails....hugh
Second day all the crap started falling back on my desk and the dead bodies kept floating back up!
(I.E dead bodies: cases you had trouble with, were glad to get rid off and they won't stay dead!)
Over the weekend I was seriously reconsidering this career move. Okay it's is not a career, I'm not the ambitious type, I just strive to do my job well.
Tuesday and today were amazingly peaceful days, like I finally understood and made sense of my cases. It flowed. Good times, celebrate , come on!
I'm praying for the same tomorrow.
Here's a bouquet of coneflowers I made for last saturday's family BBQ.
It is a great way to use this glass jar that doesn't really get any use otherwise. It is missing its seal so forget about storing crackers in it!
So that's it for tonight, sleep tight
(I hope I don't sweat too much ;my AC crapped out today; it lived a long and full life but after 14 years of service; it gave up.)

Really????
We wake up early and bring our breakfast and lunch to work, nearly everyday.
Tonight I'm packing my breakfast and I ask Dan : where is your dish?
The answer I got was...Don't ask me about it! I forgot it at work yesterday and someone stole it!
EXCUSE ME????
I'm always besides myself when someone making a confortable living decides to steal a co-worker's old Tupperware...Really??? People what is wrong with you????
Go in a thrift store and get a Tupperware!!!
Here's the brother of the one they stole...

This is mine with granola inside.
I actually remember when I got these...It was in 1990
I didn't care properly for them unil I hosted my own Tupperware parties...and learned about the different kinds of Tupperware.
I agree that the prices are crazy on some lines but I usually get mine at the Boxing day sale or the Mother's Day sale.
Hey there Tupperware thief! I hope you enjoy the dish you stole....
Get my drift???? I know you do!

Avalanche
As you well know I strive to write a positive happy blog, I also strive to be happy on all levels in my life and even if it's a lot of work at times, I feel I do a pretty good job.
So this is NOT a happy positive post, it's a 'I just got thrown a big bucket of stinking' crap' post, so bear with me.
I lost my mother in mid-december. I wasn't close to my mother due to the horrible way she treated me when I was a teenager. When I say horrible, I mean 'you will have to go to therapy for quite a while' horrible. I felt so helpless, I kept asking for help from my grandma (her mother) but she would only tell me to be patient and live with it.
So shortly after her death I was looking for some pictures of her for her sister and I found a copy of a will she had made 15 years ago that left me most of what she had (which is probably nothing) and made me excecutor.
So I decided to call my aunt to see what was happening with the will, so I left her a message yesterday....Oh boy!
I went out for a bit this morning and when I came back I saw the answering machine light blinking, so naturally I took the message....My aunt was hand delivering oodles and oodles of crap in my answering machine. I was a heartless b****, a coward, I had abadonned my mother in her hour of need, I should destroy her number and never call her back, I was a money grabbing selfish god knows what....You get the gist. The message was so violent I felt like somedy hit me in the face!
So I decided to call her to explain about the will I found and basicaly I just wanted some info.
OMG she was even more histerical than on the message, she managed to scream that she had taken my mother to see shows and she had spent thousands of dollars of her own money to take care of her, and the same stuff from the message, and that my dad was an asshole and even worse things.
I tried to reason with her but she was too far gone. I tried to tell her how I felt as a teenager when I was asking for help and they wouldn't give me the time of day. I tried to tell her how lonely I felt with a crazy chain smoking alcoholic falling allover the house. But I couldn't
She did manage to tell me once again that she didn't want to see or hear from me again (good i think we can arrange that!). And to think I only wanted some information!
You know that feels so good, I feel so much better to have gotten that off my chest.
Sorry about the awful post
Here's my favorite prayer that has helped my countless times.
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Amen.

Arundel Flea Market
Situated on a street corner the Arundel Flea Market has tons to offer.
It has clean bathrooms (that is definitely a plus!) inside and a restaurant outside. Lots of stuff to see outside too!
I always start the adventure outside then move inside.
This place was really full of treasures! I found this Kitchen Glassware book (4$)that was a hit with both Dan and Dad. We looked at it for hours on end...Who knew that some lemon reamers could sell for 2000$
? Well not us...
I found this super cute nut chopper. Made by Hazel Atlas. It is in great condition without chips or cracks. I'm still on the fence about keeping it!
In the same pic, the 2 pink blobs (that look like, I just realized it
, breasts! ) are actually S&P shakers. They are pink lemons...Get your mind out of the gutter people!LOL!
Still on the fence about those too! I'll try to post a better pic so you can see how cute they really are!

This is where last year Dad wanted to buy me a pink fridgie set (complete, mint,no chips) and I refused, I felt it was too much money.
Well I still think about that set! I still think it was WAY too expensive. Needless to say no pink Pyrex was to be seen at that place!
Last but not least....Drumroll please! the Vintage Pink Carry-on Case with vintage stickers! Dan gave me some mad money for my B-Day so I took advantage of it!

As soon as I saw it, I grabbed it with my pudgy little hands and would not let go...at the risk of breaking everything in sight! I just cleaned it and can't wait to go away on a cool weekend and bring it with me!
Now in real life....we started to clean the basement...eurk! Dusty, spidery, generally eek inducing,humid..Anyways we threw out 3 garbage bags, 4 boxes, filled the cars to donate to the Salvation Army and recycled an old car battery....I'm tired now!
