Xmas Rocked!

I was sooo spoiled this year; I must've been extra good ;)

I got a Sony Ereader touch edition. This is really cool. By the way Sony people....we are not just born knowing all the stuff you don't put in the user guide! It took me 2 hours to figure out where the instructions were and dowload a free book. The free books could use an update too, how about a free Stephen king or James Patterson? I also got the protective jacket with nightlight.

An LLBean Paid sage comforter cover. This adds an extra layer of delicious warmth to the winter bed! garanteed to attract warm felines.

LLBean Evergreen flannel sheets. I can't wait to change the bed! lol
These will look soooo good with the comforter cover!

I also got gift cards; I'm going shopping! Oh yes! A paint by number painting, really cute with the sea and sandpipers, a turquoise dickies watch (couldn't find a pic on the web), makeup, skin care, multiple lip balms, art books, a scarf and gloves set (perfect for interviews), tons of chocolate. Delicious chocolate...thank god I'm spending much of my days in sweats! LOL

On the free ebooks I downloaded a christian novel (yes you read that right) out of curiosity. The only religious book I've read before was the bible. The novel is called the Potluck club it's an ok book, but I've never seen so much medling and judging, all in the name of the lord! I wouldn't be surprised if a woman got stoned, it is that judgemental. On the plus side it made me realize that I have an opened heart and I judge so much less than I thought.

While searching the net for those christian chocolates I'd seen in Massena I found these....Testamints.
They have a distribution office in Canada and even some commercials. Who knew?
I don't think christian candy would enhance my faith.
What about you? Would candy affect your faith? How about a novel?

More Projects Completed!

My oh my oh my! yesterday was magical. We were in the reno zone...so cool!

Ok this is the wardrobe before...One side pantryesque and the other for coats and boots. Notice the before color that deep burnt orange that says: hey! we went to south america and we feel the need to cover the whole house in terra cotta!

After shot. I really like the new panelled doors and that beigy, mocha, brown, khaki color.

Old light (I hate those! we have them all over the house)

New light (I'm totally in love with this one! I've been eyeing it for years now, it's from LLBean-love)
Also this is the toot my own horn moment, I installed it myself and Dan was the helper-I'm the resident electrician)

Our reward...

Lunch! There was some meat, but it was not in Pyrex....so not in the pic!

No blogging for me tomorrow, I'm off to the city for some bloodwork and the annual tit pressing (I hate this)

Have a great evening :)

Sheets! Glorious bed sheets!

I love bed sheets, I love to look at them and to touch them. I love to buy some and to have a lot!

I have different sheets for different seasons. I was trying to remember when I first fell in love with sheets. What go me started???

I have a feeling it's genetic! LOL! As I was saying in an earlier post as I grow older I'm developping this mania of vintage fabrics...It's probably a mutation of my sheet mania!

I remember 20 years ago my Dad giving me Ralph Lauren 100% cotton sheets (white and blue stripped), he had gotten them at a factory outlet in Mass. They were the most beautiful thing I ever saw. All cool and crisp! Over the years I got quite a few of those sets, and some are still in use. Simultanously with Ralph I discovered the Martha Stewart sheets. Okay they were not in cotton but in a poly/cotton blend and so cheerful. I would go into a Kmart (in Lebanon NH) like into a holy shrine, a poly/cotton shrine and would smile alone in an aisle looking at all those sheets.....SIGH!!!

At one point my better half (always the helpful Dan!) informed me that we had enough sheets....really???

I honestly don't know how many sets I have...I have 4 sets for winter....Flannel, soft flannel-like going to sleep in a warm hug! My best ones come from LL Bean and are extra soft, white background with big sunflowers. I have a sage green set (also LL Bean) plain fitted sheet and pillow cases but a striped flat sheet (you can customize), a Target set, pale blue with white and dark blue 60's flowers, and the newest addition....a xmas gift actually! A LL Bean flannel set, white background with evergreen trees in all the colors of their flannel collection (That was a stroke of genius, if you ask me! lol, you can still match your existing bedding).

I have 4 comforters....2 for each bed...in case the cats puke on one in the middle of the night (Been there done that...) You just need to pull out a new one, throw the puked on one to the side and go back to bed.

And I keep fantasizing about buying new sheets....I'm looking forward to my OOB (Old Orchard Beach) vacation and thinking of going to Target to look at bedding. In the meantine whenever I see cool pillowcases at the church basement, I grab them! My latest one (pink, white and purple stripes) ended up in my bed this afternoon. Sometimes I used them as background for pictures, or they could end up in my eternal quilt...which i will finish one day..I swear!

I have to go...I think one of the cats just puked on the bedspread! LOL
