ROAD TRIP!!!

I was aching for it....It hurts

We had to do something about it....

So we did.

We jumped in the car and headed to the beach!

Aaaaahhhh the joy of the beach!

                                Salt air, waves and seagulls!!!

We shared a huge lobster roll...and fried clams

The room was soooo great! Thank god for off season rates!

Across the street was the sea.

And we even had 2 sinks! Funny thing...I had to be on my tippy toes
                                          to wash my hands!

It was one of the best quick getaway EVER!

We walked ,talked and sang a whole lot!

I will post about our meals another day :)

Hi V! Isn't it great to get away? I just spent 3 days on Cape on and it was just what I needed. How was the water in Hampton? LOL - you don't need to answer that!

Looks like a lovely weekend away! We are doing the same in a few weeks time at a nearby island - enjoying off season rates too. It really did have a great view!

Looks great!

I go to Niagara Falls in off season. You can get a high floor room in the Hilton attached to the casino with a falls view, hot tub, 2 bedrooms for $130. We went during busy season this year. $149 for the crappiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Smashed window in the bathroom. It was first floor, I went to the bathroom with the lights out because I thought someone would peek in (kept hearing noises outside the window). When you flushed the toilet it sounded like a freight train was going through. It smelled like damp furniture. No cable. Pillows were $3 Wal-Mart pillows. There was a 3 foot long hair on the floor & bikers were drunk hanging over their balconies all day. I was actually pretty scared all night. & a housekeeping cart rolled by at 7am squeaking & woke me up. Stuff was left in the fridge. JUNKY!! Knights Inn. Don't stay there. We had to drive everywhere, too.
