Women Food God and Antiques!

Wow I have 3 new foloowers! Abig warm Vonlipi's welcome to Blue Ridge Altered Art , Florine from my-vintage-dollhouses and Bounty Huntress (if you have a blog I couldn't find it).  Visit them they have fab blogs!

A couple months ago I bought Women Food and God by Geneen Roth because I had read about it in my pal's blog Tracy Crazy Suburban Mom. I received it and forgot about. Then 2 weeks ago I was watching Oprah and the author was there...I remembered I had the book! So I started to read it last friday. Well I tought about it ALL weekend!

So this week has been pretty crapesque at work and on night after my shift I ran into Zeller's (small Walmart) and headed for the snack aisle. Oh man oh man I was going to stuff my face! So I was looking at all the chips and whatnots and realised I didn't want anything and I wasn't hungry! I hoped on my bike and told myself: You're frustrated girl, you had a shitty day, live that emotion and all will pass. And it did!

So I'm real psyched because tomorrow we're getting up early and heading out to Morrisburg, Ont for this shinding....

Antiquefest! Cool! And we're packing a picnic! I don't know if I'm gonna bring my super picnic basket because it is pretty heavy..I will take tons of pics I promise!

Have a great weekend!

Yes, I do! Don't know why it's not showing up... but here:

Yard Sale Snoop (LOVE HER) told me about you! Btw, I just started reading WF&G a couple days ago. I had been resisting because 1. I missed the Oprah episode back in April when Geneen Roth was on. 2. I thought it would be boring like Sunday morning at church.
But I caught last week's Oprah episode and Oprah made me cry with her rant at the end. So I bought the book and was pleased to find the f-word multiple times in the beginning! That means it'll be REALLY good. :) Hurray for AFGO's!

I hope Antiquefest is a good one! Can't wait to hear. Have fun!

I saw Geneen Roth on Oprah and then promptly forgot about it. I'll have to pick up the book. Good for you for recognizing it was frustration.

Thanks for stopping by and in answer to your question, I live in a townhouse but I do have a floored attic and a storage shed where I do store all of my decorations and my craft items.

You're in Ontario - big hug! I hope the Pyrex gods are good to you and that you come back to Quebec loaded with fabulous and unique things.

Come visit my blog when you have a minute. I need your help sleuthing a Pyrex pattern and I have a shared Pyrex blog idea that so needs your involvement if you see fit. You are the Pyrex goddess, the rest of us are but small players.

Bye for now,

That's all so true isn't it? Do you know that in one of the posts I wrote about that book Geneen Roth actually commented? I am totally not kidding - go look. I was flabbergasted.
