So Cool, WOOWZA, and I can't believe this!!!

To tell you the truth, I wasn't after a title this long, I wanted something short and to the point.

The house is sold, 9 days on the market, and we got the full asking price. We had less than 10 visits and 3 offers on the same day, which is really cooky in my book!

We actually had an above asking price offer. but the buyer had never visited the house and we felt it was suspicious.

Since I will be leaving the Outaouais shore there are some things I will be missing and I found that I had made an unofficial bucket list in my mind!

On top of my list was : take advantage of ALL seasonal  blooms!

Our lilac had a falling out 2 years ago but new branches grew last year just in time to give us new blooms!

So  now it is lily of the valley time and I decided to enjoy it to the MAX!
I have enough blooms a least to fill out 2 or 3 more Mason jars!

Now on the down side. We had noticed that Yoda was losing weight and we decided to weight her every week just to make sure we weren't cray-cray!!!

There was definitely something wrong with her and after some tests , she was diagnosed as diabetic.

Based on her age and condition, and our experience we decided to start treatment and see where it would leas us. We had a diabetic cat about 14 years ago and he lived to be 21!

So this is truly a one day at a time situation.

White on White

Aaaahhh! Saturday! Since I have to stay put and wait for the washer and dryer, I might as well put my energy to good use and work in the garden...What to do, what to do? So many weeds...so little time!

But first! I MUST pick a lovely lilly of the valley bouquet! Last year I started to pick all my lilly of the valley and then I realized my well meaning but moronic neighbor mowed all I had on the side of the house! Boy was I mad!

So this year I didn't take any chances...I put one of these white wire fence (from the dollar store) around it...Take that you mower maniac!

So this is what I picked

155 lilly of the valley sprigs to fit in this beautiful milkglass Westmoreland vase. I think it's in the Grapes pattern but I'm not sure. I picked it up last year at the Salvation Army for 2.99$. Of course this makes me think of Douce France @ Passion of Milkglass Collecting.
My parents really liked milkglass so that's where I started. I don't collect it per se, but if a piece strikes my fancy I will bring it home before you can say Shazbot!

Gotta go the washer and dryer will be here in 30min (they just called) and I have to cut some lilacs to bring inside....

Lilly of the valley

It's that time of year again. The time the air is filled with that wonderful scent.
Aaaahhhh! Lilly of the Valley. Such a nice little flower! Those small happy bells.
We had some in my childhood house and Mom would pick huge bouquets and give them to the neighbors and bring some inside to perfume the house.
When I moved into my house I was thrilled to discover that I had some Lilly of the valley plants on the side of the house. Well after 14 years, they're everywhere! LOL
I enjoy bringing bouquets inside (my neighbors don't really dig Lilly of the Valley!) So more for me! The bouquet in this picture is made up from 100 stems. That is just the tip of the iceberg...I will be making many more bouquets this week (when I'm taking a break from arranging the garage sale...). By the way the garage sale is nearly upon us, it's very exciting and very stressfull at the same time, and fun too. I can't wait to get rid of all these boxes....I haven't taken the picture of the ashtray yet...today for sure!
