In some ways Xmas is like a marathon.....

and it certainly feels that way this year!

Tree? check

Xmas candies? check

Xmas cards? check

Caramel corn? check

Meat pie? check

Meatball stew? check

Shopping? DONE!!!!

what is really cray-cray is that I didn't buy any aluminum 

pie plates...REALLY???

So that is when creativity helps you!

Winter Art

On my lunchtime walk....

I had to go Xmas shopping....on my way, I was taken aback by this whimsical art installation.

It is at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Don't you think they look like cattails ?

Would like to drive by at night to see what they look like.....

 So these are the things I picked up at the thrift shop...

CORSAGES! XMAS CORSAGES!

WOOHOO!

 They were originally sold at Shopper's Drugmart a big drugstore chain in Canada

The owner before me had put some tie wraps to hang them in the tree...

 The green one isn't a corsage but an ornament....

 So 

take makes 3 corsages and one ornament. sweet for $2.00

 I am really happy with those finds since 2016 has been dismal in the 

thrifting area!

there is a wee park near my house....

Last week as I'm walking by I see this..... 

 Did Santa actually park his sleight here?

Well, maybe not because there was only 1 reindeer!

and some wind chimes, lovely but not ALL THE REINDEERS!

I'll be on the lookout for them and Santa as well!

I find that the problem with Target Canada, besides not including a flyer in our weekly flyer bag, having bare shelves and blah stores, is that it is not in the U.S.

In the past whenever I would go to Target in Maine I would get all excited because I couldn't find the stuff in Canada! Now they made deals with canadian companies, so let's face it I can find most of the things ANYWHERE....even in Walmart!

And what I want is not in the shelves.....But today I managed to nab the last white full fitted sheet!

Yay! And I saw these lovely appliances that I simply MUST HAVE!

                                         These just blew me away! I just wanted to say BYE BYE old white toaster and bland crockpot! MUST HAVE THESE....They just filled me with glee!

I also saw those adorable Xmas outdoor decor....Who can resist this sweet fox?

                                         I would have grabbed them in a jiffy if they had been blowmolds....
                                         So that will be for another time!
